Game Four Fan of the WEEK!

Heads up, everyone!  This guy here, Matthew Cote, has been training to join the MMFC squad for the last 15 years!  He was trained by his older brothers (one of them is in the background of the image above), played on his high school and traveling team back in Sumter, he’s played in many small-sided tournaments and has earned several coaching licenses ALL in an effort to join MMFC for the Winter 2016 season.  His latest effort to join the dudes took place on Sunday, November 8, 2015 when he came dressed out to cheer on the dudes in the rain!

No rain – games are played! (week 3)

Hey Florence soccer fans!  Opening day of season 3 for FSA took place yesterday and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect!  The dudes finally had a chance to come together, welcoming our two newest players.  Don’t forget to check the 2015 Fall Schedule for game summaries and stats!

recap: Pick-up Soccer @ ESAB

Shout-out to Geoff, Paul, Tony, Jason, Whit, Steven, and David for coming to play at ESAB on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015.  For the first 90 minutes, the speed of the game was high and the intensity was pretty even.  After that, however, intensity picked up as fresh legs came on the field.  Unfortunately, MMFC suffered a casualty as their brick wall (David) made an epic safe in the net at a price not worth paying.

Please wriggle your spirit fingers to help heal David quickly.  He’s already seen the doc and had his knee immobilized.  Of course we’d want him to recover and be healthy for the start of the league but we really just want him to be healthy and if that means missing half of the season then so be it.  Worst case scenario, he’ll be stuck on the sidelines for the first few matches.  If that happens, we’ll give him a megaphone, a whistle, and a sweet sweatsuit so that he can continue being an impactful member of our unit.
